Loyd Sawyers  left an impact on your heart if you met him on even one occasion.  Loyd walked his faith in such a way that everyone who knew him, knew Jesus was his Lord and Savior. He was also known for asking a simple but impactful question. Loyd would say,  “Has anyone told you that they love you today?”  And then he would follow up with “well, I love you and Jesus does, too.”  Some of us fondly remember phone calls that began with “What is God doing in your life these days?” 

Loyd carried the light of Jesus Christ with him everywhere he went.  As an auctioneer, he was given the opportunity to touch people with his words even over the microphone.  He loved his family and was adored and admired by his auction family. He was a mentor and friend to all who knew him.  Loyd was known to help many people that he came in contact with and he would keep a relationship with them for years to come. He had many, many friends from the way he poured love and wisdom into the people he knew and had a way of making people feel like he had been their best friend for a long time. 

Loyd lived his life in such a way that he allowed God’s love to overflow through him and into those he came in contact with on a daily basis. There is no doubt in the minds of his family and those who knew him, that as he entered into God’s glory, he was surely greeted with the words, “well done, good and faithful servant”.
